Upcoming Budget Electric Cars In India 2022

Soon, the Indian market will be flooded with many upcoming EV cars in India. At the present, switching to EVs appears to be the only option to meet the aggressive climate change objectives.

Customers are looking for alternatives due to the exponential growth in gasoline prices over the previous few years. In the long term, electric automobiles are the only viable option. Let's look at some of the best upcoming EV cars in India.

1. Tata Nexon EV MAX

One of the Nexon EV's main flaws, according to many purchasers, is its limited range. To address this, Tata plans to release the Nexon EV with a larger battery pack. The present 30.2kWh battery pack will be replaced with a 40kWh battery pack. The Nexon EV MAX is projected to have a range of around 400 kilometers. On a single charge, an ideal range of 300-320km is predicted.

2. Mahindra eKUV100

The eKUV100 has been under development by Mahindra for some time. In terms of appearance and proportions, it will be identical to their KUV100. A 40kW motor and a 15.9kWh battery pack would be used to power it. The engine would have a power output of 54 horsepower and a torque output of 120 Nm. The AC charger will take around 6 hours to fully charge it, while the DC fast charger will charge it from 0-80% in an hour. It is likely to cost Rs 9 lakhs when it is released in India.

3. Tata Altroz EV

The Altroz EV will be based entirely on the current Altroz, with just minor design changes. It will be based on the ALFA-Arc platform, which was designed specifically for electric vehicles. A 30.2kWh liquid-cooled, IP67 lithium-ion battery pack might be installed in this vehicle. It might be powered by a 3-phase Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motor with a power output of roughly 100bhp. It might cost anything between Rs 12 lakhs and Rs 15 lakhs.

4.  Renault K-ZE EV

The Renault K-ZE would be based on Renault's existing Kwid model. The worldwide version has a power output of 43 bhp and a torque output of 125 Nm. It comes with a 26.8kWh battery pack that takes 4 hours to completely charge when using an AC charger. It can charge from 30% to 80% in half an hour using rapid DC charging. It has a range of nearly 200 kilometers on a single charge. The Indian version is likely to have the same features, and it might be released for less than Rs 10 lakhs.
